Rangers' Guerrero hurts eye, taken to hospital

Guerrero was taking swings in the batting cage, and a ball caromed off one of the metal supports and ricocheted near his left eye.

The area around the eye began to swell, prompting the team to scratch him from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox. He underwent X-rays at the hospital, but the results are unknown.

Guerrero has been playing very well for Texas this season and in 50 games has a .335 batting average with 12 homers and 44 RBI.
